The section "Encyclopedia" is divided into the following subsections. For each of the subsections, certain important words have been selected.

1. LINE: contour, even vs uneven, implied, stripe, to emphasize.
2. SHAPE: measurement, harmony, to highlight, to resemble
3. COLOR: value, palette, mood, pale, dot, mix, hue
4. SPACE: three-dimensional
5. TEXTURE: rough, bumpy, scratchy, polished, surface, coarse, marble, slab, shiny, carving, nailed, sharply defined
6. BALANCE: axis, balanced vs unbalanced, woven (weave-wove-woven)
7. EMPHASIS: at first glance, worn (wear-wore-worn), on closer inspection
8. MOVEMENT AND RHYTHM
