A lot of / lots of

“A lot of” or “lots of” should not be used in formal writing. The table below shows a few alternatives, some of which are employed in the video. You have to fill in the gaps with words from the script -the initial has been given to help you.

A LOT (adverb):

Do

In formal settings, it is also a good idea to avoid excessive repetition of “do” in expressions such as “to do a task”, “to do a treatment”, “to do assessment”...
